Welcome to Grafton Baptist

Who we are

A family following Jesus in the heart of Grafton.

Our purpose

To know &
glorify God.

We want to be a disciple-making church, empowered to share Jesus.

We are evangelical in our faith, Baptist in our convictions and dependent on the Holy Spirit. The good news of Jesus is at the centre of our life together, and the Bible shapes what we believe and how we live.

We want to be a warm, hospitable church where people can ask questions, grow in faith and serve their neighbours with compassion.

Our pastor

Tim McManus

Serving Grafton Baptist Church since July 2024.

Tim's ministry journey included an internship at Windsor Baptist Church from 2019 and study at Morling College in the Bachelor of Ministries and Master of Theological Studies programmes. He was ordained as a Baptist minister in 2025.

As our church marks 150 years, Tim points us to God's faithfulness through the generations and the continuing work of making Jesus known.

“He is still King. His Word still stands, His gospel still saves, and Grafton is still a place that is on God's heart.”

Our name & our story

Grafton, since 1876

The congregation began on 9 July 1876. Our present church building opened in 1885, and generations have worshipped here ever since.

You may know us as The Hub Baptist Church. We adopted that name in 2013 and returned to Grafton Baptist Church in 2026, following the end of the Hub association of churches.
